I'm feeling very moral-ish at the moment. Well, I say moral but I mean I've been thinking about morality & beliefs rather than being moral. Went to Gaia ED, picked random broad topics I could find from there and some from my head and shoved them here.

I'd also be interested in anyone else's opinions on these as well )

Oh dear. America made me fat.

On holiday I had to be weighed to go on a helicopter and was 148. >.< Now I'm around 138. I can't believe I gained that much just from 10 days in America. I knew everything I ate was saturated in sugary fat, but... o.O And I'm probably still losing weight slowly as I'm adjusting to healthier, non-pankake-centred breakfasts and (gasp) vegetables with meals. To be honest I wouldn't be surprised it planes leaving America have more fuel than planes going to America. I thought Christmas was the time you gain weight but apparently not.

Feeling very blah. Have been all day. Had lots of things that made me feel shitty today and lots of things that made me feel happy and it's all clashing. Bored with myself I guess.

Yaaaaay. Back.

San Francisco was fun. Saw the sights, the gays and the sadomasochstic parades but came 3 days too late for St.Stupid Day.
Yosemite and all that jazz gave me a headache from the altitude. But was fun nonetheless.
Las Vegas was even more fun. Legalised everything. The hundreds of people on the street giving out magazines for escorts was...interesting.
Grand Canyon was big.
Los Angeles was even bigger. Too many Scientologists there, though.

Bleh. Can't be bothered to say anything more.

Going on holiday tomorrow. Once I get over the 11-hour flight there without having my head spin around exorcist-style, it should be good. ^_^

Won't be here until 19/20th.

*hugs everyone* Don't do anything stupid.

Hm. My morals are for the most part nonexistant. I don't care what people do if it has no negative effect on anyone else and I have no issue with a few things that do. I suppose my moral code is that it is wrong to impose morality on someone else if what they're doing isn't damaging to others. Drawing the line, though, is very confusing. Kind of a paradox- should I step into a situation where someone is imposing their morality on someone else and try and stop them? Because technically it's against my morality to do so, as it's imposing my morality onto them. But could it be classed as ok if their imposement (is that even a word?) of morality is harming the other person? Even though they may not even be succeeding, is it ok to stop them? I'm very confused and..confused.

Sigur Ros was orgasmic. And for the first time, a band at a concert actually went on exactly when they were supposed to and left exactly at the time they said they would, instead of half an hour before.

Anxiety is sort of hovering at a tolerable but tension-creating level. Tomorrow...is ok, I suppose. But Friday has an increasing possibility of being dreadful. Hooray.

My communist utopia is crumbling bit by bit... )

Hmm. Going to see Sigur Ros tomorrow which will be interesting, to say the least. Concerts are fun. But I can tell that Alanis and Garbage will stay at the top because they're so hip.

Then next Tuesday it's off on holiday for 2 weeks. Come back and 2 days later later I have a cinema binge. Fun fun fn.

"Self Injury Awareness Day" - March 1st
1st March is Self Injury Awareness Day.

SIAD is a global awareness day, and yet it is not supported by any nations' governments, because it is a grass-roots idea. Somehow, in the mists of time, the date was set as the 1st of March, and organisations around the world make extra efforts to raise awareness ready for SIAD.

The colour for some reason is orange. Some people wear an orange ribbon, but in the past SIAD bracelets have been worn:

- Orange beads if you self harm;
- Orange and white if you used to;
- White if you have never self harmed but understand.

If you agree that people should be made aware of this issue and this day, re-post this in your journal.
